This policy explains what data Volume (operated by Renner Productions) collects and how we use it.
When you sign up, we collect your email address and name. If you sign up through Google or another provider, we receive basic profile information from them.
We process and store your brand answers, coaching conversation transcripts, scripts, uploaded files, recordings, and generated media to provide coaching, writing, editing, and publishing. Live calls send microphone audio to a voice provider while connected.
If you connect TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, we access your video performance metrics (views, likes, comments, watch time, etc.). We don't access your private messages or personal profile information beyond what's needed.
We collect basic information about how you use the app (features used, time spent, etc.) to improve our service.
We use your data to: provide the script-writing service, analyze video performance to give you better suggestions, improve our AI models (see our separate Data Collection Policy for details), send you important account notifications, and respond to support requests.
We use the following services to process your data:
Depending on the feature, text, audio, images, and video are processed by AI and media providers. These include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI (Grok voice calls), Deepgram, and Groq, directly or through gateways such as Vercel. Content needed for a requested feature is sent to its processing provider; turning off optional data sharing does not turn off this service processing.
We use Clerk for account management and login.
When connected, we exchange account identifiers, content, and performance data with social platforms. Post for Me handles publishing connections and posting/feed access for supported platforms, including YouTube. Separate native YouTube connections provide additional analytics.
Volume uses YouTube API Services. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Post for Me’s Privacy Policy. You can disconnect in your brand’s connection settings and revoke provider access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized access; it does not by itself delete content already saved in Volume. Use Volume’s account/data deletion controls for stored content.
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data that can't identify you may be retained.
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and data, and disconnect social media accounts at any time. To exercise these rights, go to Settings in the app.
If you're in the EU, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, you have additional rights including data portability and the right to lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.
Our legal basis for processing is: contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interest (improving our service), and consent (optional data sharing program).
Volume is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately.
When you submit feedback on Volume Intelligence responses (thumbs up/down), we collect the following to improve our AI:
This data is stored securely and used exclusively to improve Volume Intelligence. It is never sold to third parties or used for advertising.
Feedback submission is entirely voluntary. You can use Volume Intelligence without ever submitting feedback.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is 100% secure.
We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
