Volume Data Collection & Improvement Program

Last updated: September 5, 2026

This policy explains our optional program that uses anonymized user data to make Volume smarter for everyone.

What This Program Is

Volume can learn from patterns across all users to give better script suggestions. For example, we might discover that hooks with specific keywords perform 30% better in the fitness niche. This program lets you contribute to (and benefit from) these insights.

This Program Is Optional

Data sharing is on by default during onboarding, where you can turn it off before finishing. You can use Volume without participating. The core features work the same either way. You can opt in or out at any time in your profile’s Data & Privacy section.

What We Collect (If You Opt In)

  • Script structures, patterns, and eligible script or transcript examples
  • Video performance metrics linked to script characteristics
  • Niche and topic categories
  • General speech patterns (pacing, sentence length, etc.)
  • Hook and CTA effectiveness data

What This Setting Does Not Change

  • Volume still stores and processes content needed to provide the features you use.
  • Your private brand context remains available to your own brand.
  • Optional cross-brand learning is controlled separately from publishing connections and voluntary feedback.

How We Anonymize Data

Before any data enters our improvement system, we:

  • Remove your user ID and any identifying information
  • Generalize specific details ("talked about my gym in Brooklyn" becomes "fitness, location-based")
  • Aggregate data so individual contributions can't be identified
  • Apply consent checks before using script or transcript examples for training exports

How This Benefits You

If you participate, you get access to insights from the collective data, such as:

  • What hooks are working right now
  • Niche-specific best practices
  • Optimal video lengths and pacing recommendations

How to Opt In or Out

Go to your profile’s Data & Privacy section and toggle the option on or off. Changes take effect immediately.

What Happens to Data If You Opt Out

When you opt out, your consent setting is updated and eligible learning records are excluded from cross-brand use. This does not delete your scripts, recordings, or account data, or stop processing needed to provide your own requested features. Previously aggregated results may remain.

Consent Tracking

We record consent changes with timestamps. Consent checks govern whether eligible material can be used beyond your own brand. Review the Privacy Policy for service processing, connected accounts, and voluntary feedback.
